First Nations limited partnership

By First Nations, For First Nations

FN (PTP) Group Limited Partnership (FNLP) is an Indigenous organization that represents 16 Participating First Nations in Northern British Columbia whose territories traverse the Pacific Trail Pipelines, a proposed 472-kilometre natural gas pipeline project which would run from Summit Lake to Kitimat, BC.

About FNLP

Working to Preserve Participating First Nations' Interests

FNLP was formed in 2008 by forward-thinking First Nations whose traditional territories traverse the proposed Pacific Trail Pipelines natural gas project in Northern British Columbia. Their vision led to a ground-breaking commercial agreement — the first of its kind in Canada — in which a large group of First Nations (now 16 in all) collectively negotiated an innovative commercial benefits agreement with Pacific Trail Pipelines project proponents.

The agreement set a valuable new benchmark for Indigenous participation in large natural resources projects and delivered immediate economic advantages to Participating First Nation communities.
